What We're Cooking: Stuffed Grilled Mushrooms

INGREDIENTS:
  • Mushrooms
  • Bacon
  • Chopped garlic
  • Pepper

  1. Separate the stems from the caps and brush the dirt off of the caps
    (if you wash the caps they will get water logged).
  2. Chop the bacon finely.
    (my favorite way is in the food processor)
  3. Add some garlic and pepper.
  4. Cook a little of the mixture in a frying pan to check the seasonings.
  5. Adjust the seasonings if necessary.
  6. Stuff the caps with the mixture.
  7. Bake in an oven until done.
    (or alternatively, you could try grilling them. Just try to use a low-med flame so they don't cook too fast and burn on the bottom and be raw on top)
