THE RECIPE Unredeacted:
INGREDIENTS:
  • Flour
  • Onions
  • butter
  • parsley
  • salt
  • pepper
  • baking soda
  • water
THE RECIPE Redeacted: Sautee the onions in some butter until soft.
The proportions I used for Bridge Birthday were:
  • About 5 cups flour
  • about 5 tsps baking soda
  • a fistful of onions
  • a smaller fist full of parsley
  • salt
  • pepper
  • and enough water to make a batter
  1. Using a tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil cook until golden brown.
  2. Turn and continue cooking on the other side.
  3. Be sure to make them small enough so that they cook thorugh without burning.
  4. Remove from the hot fat and drain on paper towels.
  5. Seaon with salt while hot if desired.
